Karla Cortes is a Mexican-Canadian mixed media artist based in Toronto, Ontario. My art practice allows me to connect with people in an honest way that I've never been able to do with words.

Through my artistic expression, I initiate dialogues on topics close to my heart and wholeheartedly engage with the perspectives shared in response. My creative process is rooted in capturing everyday inspirations – be it the beauty of nature, the nuances of human emotions, or the subtleties of daily life. While some sketches stand alone as individual pieces, a select few evolve into more intricate works over time. This fluidity in creation allows me to explore a diverse range of subjects and continually evolve as an artist and a communicator.

I have recently opened an online shop alongside my family where we sell handmade items alongside my commissions and art prints!
